"Let us examine our ways and test them,
and let us return to the Lord.
Let us lift up our hearts and our hands
to God in heaven, and say:
'We have sinned and rebelled."
Lamentations 3:40-41
Almighty God and Father, I give You praise and thanksgiving for this new day. Help me to live it under Your blessings. As I examine my ways, Lord, I wonder have I hurt Your heart with my actions?
Do I walk in Your ways or just talk about it? Does my mouth speak words that show others how deeply I love You? Have my ears listened to things that go against what You would have me hear? Are my eyes seeing all that I should see or have I looked the other way? Does my heart reveal how deeply ingrained You are in me?
If not then I ask forgiveness. I lift up my heart and hands to You, Lord, asking for renewal and reminding that were it not for You I would not live a life of health, prosperity, love and peace. You are God, merciful and loving.
I give thanks, honor, praise and worship to You for being my Lord and Savior. Hear my prayer and bless it in Jesus' name.
