day care’s paraphernalia, set the room up for worship, and then remove the Olive Tree chairs, podium, etc… to return the day care equipment. Further, since there is a commitment to the day care, it is difficult to coordinate any additional activities without infringing on them. Thus, we accepted Samantha’s gracious invitation to use her facility.

 Out of the blue, the day care personnel announced that they are moving to a nearby facility, since the current premises leave them no more room for necessary expansion. Lo and behold, Olive Tree now sees us as a good fit to share the premises. Both we and they see the hand of God in this, and were more than pleased to make this offer.

 I might add that Olive Tree and Beth Yeshua have been working together for quite a while and have seen the benefits of joining together. We celebrate Pesach, Shavuos and Succos, as well as the High Holy days. We have never seen our ministries to be in conflict, but rather working in tandem to reach as many lost as possible, as well as enriching the Jewish experience for uninitiated Gentiles. We are never in competition since we have the same values and sincere desire to see people saved and to grow in grace and

knowledge. We plan to continue to work toward this end. I personally enjoy all the times we join together, as well as the opportunity to share the Olive Tree pulpit with David Sedaca, since there is no permanent minister at this point in time. By the way, for those who may not be aware, David is (unlike me) in possession of very impressive credentials with degrees I cannot pronounce. He is employed by Chosen People Ministries, directly under Mitch Glazer. Chosen People evolved from The American Board of Missions to the Jew, the oldest Jewish outreach in the United States. My affiliation with ABMJ goes back to the many years that I taught at Clara Rubin’s home in Huntington Station, and the times I was invited to speak at the Mission Station on 72nd St. I have no doubt that David and I will continue to work toward our desired goals to promote understanding of Hebrew Christian outreach.

 Whereas I saw the potential and advantages, my first response was to seek the will of God. I learned a long time ago that what seems right to man is not always what the Lord has in mind.
